Councillor Sheila Bailey, Executive Councillor for Communities and Housing said,
I am delighted that we have been able to bring together the Council's resources and Stockport Homes' experience and expertise to take forward the shared aim of building new homes in Stockport that people can actually afford, some to buy but mostly to rent. Many people have been involved in getting us to this point and I would like to express my thanks to them all.
David Beckett, Chair of Viaduct, says;
I'm delighted to be involved in the establishment of this exciting new company. Our focus is on quality and innovation and we will take advantage of development opportunities to offer modern and affordable social housing in Stockport.
