To reserve a plot, please provide the following documents after the release email has gone out:

·         Photographic ID, such as driving licence or passport

·         Proof of current address, such as a utility bill

·         3 most recent wage slips (3 months)

·         3 most recent bank statements (3 months)

·         Mortgage in Principle

·         Proof of deposit (Minimum of 5% required)

If you choose to send the documents via email, we recommend password protecting the documents.

We anticipate a number of applications for these homes and they will be shortlisted on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. During the shortlisting process we will refer to the eligibility and priority group criteria set out on the Help to Buy website. Successful applicants will be contacted after this date to reserve their plot with a £500, non-refundable reservation fee.

The shortlisting will be carried out by checking the time that we received the documents. Documents can be scanned to us, however if you are successful you will need to come into the office at a later date for us to verify them. A fraud check will be carried out by Stockport Homes to ensure that you do not have any undeclared, outstanding debt which may affect affordability or a mortgage on any other property. Metro Finance carry out an initial affordability check on our behalf. By completing the application form, you are agreeing to us carrying out these checks, as part of the shortlisting process.

About Hazel Grove

Hazel Grove was previously named Bullock Smithy, after the renowned Bullock Smithy Inn, until 1836. Its new name was possibly acquired due to a number of Hazel Trees found in the area.

Hazel Grove is a perfect commuter base, only 9 miles away from Manchester city centre, and also provides easy access to the orbital M60 motorway. Hazel Grove train station is nearby and Stockport railway station is a mainline station on the Manchester spur of the West Coast Main Line.
